The present image gallery offers a small sample of an archive of more than 12,000 images of art and architecture, taken at more than 300 sites in Europe and the United States from 1992 to 2004. All of the photographs of this group were originally captured on 35mm slide film with a single lens reflex camera on a tripod, and have since been scanned and converted to digital format.
Originally produced to supplement and document my art historical research at Cornell and Columbia Universities, the images in this collection have been published internationally since 1996 (Representation: Art Resource, NY
). Publications include: The Guggenheim Museum, The Museum of Modern Art, Oxford University Press, and Venturi, Scott Brown and Associates, Inc.
The images also form an intergal part of numerous museum and university visual resources collections throughout North America (Representation: Scholars Resource
), including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.
In 2006, I exhibited 17 prints from this collection of images at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University.
